It seems we can all help each other. The “EX”-friend mentioned in your EPILEPSY blog was actually MINE, & in the spirit of continuing to help my ex-friend, I was hoping you would publish this for me (THANKS!). AN OPEN LETTER TO SCOTT D. I once told you that I really hoped you didn’t mess things up for yourself because you never know when you will need a friend. You said you hoped you didn’t, either. I also told you that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES would I let you fall in love with me (too late!), nor would I let you leave your wife for me. THAT MEANS ALSO NOT LETTING YOU BE SO STUPID THAT SHE LEAVES YOU! I’m trying to keep all my promises but every time i try to help you keep your family together, you go off the deep end! TALK TO ME! YOU said we could talk about ANYTHING. SO, why are you so scared to answer this: DID UPS force you/coerce you into LYING? I only went after your WIFE because EVERYBODY left her open. WHO IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR MY LOSING MY JOB? Let’s FIX THIS, FIX YOUR FAMILY, and FIX YOU! You told me you had NO TIME for yourself. You have lost YOURSELF, your family, your house, and your friend-ME. I KNEW your wife would figure it all out, that is why I offered to settle-so she wouldn’t dump you. You twisted that like you twisted everything else. CONSIDER- KYLE-FIRED. CURTIS-FIRED. New business agents. UPS’S attorneys know the truth because of me and your now-transparent lies. PLEASE do not lose EVERYTHING. Talk to me, settle WESTCHESTER SUPREME COURT INDEX NUMBER 012265-2009 for your FAMILY! You need to grow. Now is the time to take the first steps in your new life. DON’T BLOW IT! TALK TO ME, I am and have always been open to talk even though you were bordering on sexually harassing me and your lies got me fired, cost me my healthcare, etc, I did tell you I was your friend, and this is the one last thing a friend can do for you, ease your conscience, ease your fears, ease your financial strain, and maybe start you on the path of picking up the pieces. Who knows? If you prove you can handle this, your wife may reconsider everything. Or, later, you may re-unite. Or, you could even start a second family as long as you have a steady base to grow on. TALK is free. Please DON’T LOSE EVERYTHING, seek some professional help, if you are still sleep deprived and panicky, you aren’t doing yourself or anyone any good. Reign in the paranoia for once, sherlock. How could, or why would, you even say you were my friend so many times if you didn’t honestly believe it unless you are the biggest fraud in the world. UPS believed your lies, but your wife didn’t. And I did know when you were making stuff up, I know things you did behind my back, but you are mentally ill. I feel as much compassion for you, with hypochondria, paranoia, and compulsive lying as I did for your daughter with epilepsy. I told you I overlook character flaws. I NEVER wanted you to lose your family, I tried to prevent it, but that happened. PICK UP THE PIECES and start out RIGHT this time, in your heart, your soul, and your brain, and you may succeed in living to be older than your father was. I am here, but ONLY if you are ready to be honest this time. I am the only one who was. Being genuine is NOT hard! Your family will really love the new YOU. BE HONEST, and let’s FIX THIS before it is too late. You know UPS cannot be trusted. Take a chance for once. Stand up, stand tall, and settle this thing NOW. Be smart. There have been THREE FAILED ATTEMPTS to get rid of this case PLUS you&your wife’s further dirty tricks last October, which DID NOT WORK! YOU ARE DESTROYING YOUR LIFE, MY LIFE, TRISH’S LIFE, LUKE’S LIFE, RYAN’S LIFE, and JACKSON’S LIFE. WAS IT WORTH IT? GROW UP, deal with it, stop paying UPS’S ATTORNEYS, the guys who now know all the lies of you, your wife, Kyle, Curtis, the Union, YOUR bosses, etc…YOU WILL ONLY LOSE! THEY left your wife open, THEY cannot beat me in court, Trish’s BROTHER could not beat me. Why? BECAUSE EITHER YOUR WIFE WAS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MY BEING FIRED, or UPS- or you, in one of your paranoid sleepless days- MADE HER DO IT. DID UPS LIE? IT will take all of us to figure it out unless the truth is: YOU DELIBERATELY LIED, DRAGGED YOUR WIFE IN, AND DID THIS BECAUSE YOU REALLY ARE A COMPLETE AND TOTAL ASSHOLE. I still believe that if you WERE just deliberately an asshole, I would never have befriended you. I initially saw some good in you. I hope it’s still there, for your sake. Abbe.

SO, OK. You are right. YOUR ex-friend. THANK YOU,  Abbe, AND YOU ARE WELCOME. I hope this man finally learns to accept himself and live up to his full potential physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, etc… I also, above all, hope he learns to LOVE LIFE!!!

A LITTLE NIGHT MAGIC

HERE IS A LITTLE CURSE I WROTE.  TO WORK IT, YOU TAKE SOME AIR-DRYING CLAY (readily available in the toy/crafts section of any discount store!), MOLD IT INTO THE SHAPE OF YOUR ENEMY, SCRATCH THEIR NAME INTO THE FACE, AND ADD ANY DETAILS YOU KNOW, SUCH AS PARENTS’ NAMES, NICKNAMES, BIRTHDATE, ETC, AND IF YOU CAN INCLUDE A PIECE OF THAT PERSON’S CLOTHING, OR MAYBE SOMETHING THEY HAVE OWNED, OR GAVE TO YOU, OR BETTER YET – A PIECE OF THEIR HAIR – THEN YOU ARE REALLY ONE UP ON THE WHOLE GAME. YOU BURY THE CLAY IMAGE IN A PLACE WHERE THAT PERSON HAS TIES, OR HAS BEEN IN YOUR PRESENCE, OR – BETTER YET – ON THAT PERSON’S PROPERTY. TREATING EPILEPSY

This post could help an ex-friend of mine who has an epileptic daughter, and is going through a divorce.

Physician Larry Dossey cites an experiment with epilectic children where families were videotaped as they carried out their daily lives. Occasionally there were emotional outbursts from the children which were often followed by seizures. When the kids were shown the tapes and saw the relationship between the emotional events and their seizures they became almost seizure-free. SEE: Barbara Brown, “Supermind: the Ultimate Energy”, p. 275, as quoted in Dossey’s “Space, Time, and Medicine”, pp 112-113.

Now, common sense will tell you that when your home life is turbulent, your kids are going to get messed up in one way or another. In a way, having epilepsy is good because then you can actually see the damage done to the child as a physical symptom. Most forms of damage aren’t that easy to spot, and when psychiatrists point out that the way a child is being raised causes the child to have problems, the parents only want to deny it and pretend their home life is perfect. They even go to such extremes to hide their own inadequacies as parents by hiding the fact that the child was sexually molested (or suffered other types of trauma in the home), which puts extreme pressure on the child, and causes behavioral problems, which leads to more frequent episodes of seizure.

It is MUCH better to just admit the truths, deal with them, and let your children learn by example that honesty is the best policy. If you and your spouse cannot get along, why make the children suffer? Just end it already. I believe you can never start too early in preparing your child for the REAL world. It is the failure of parents to do this which causes children to never fully grow into adulthood, which, in turn, makes them inadequate as parents and spouses, which leads to fighting within the family, which leads to more screwed up children.

Also helpful in treating epilepsy, obviously, is to make the child COMFORTABLE, so as to thereby reduce the seizure-enducing emotional outbursts mentioned by Dr. Dossey. The easiest way you can do this is with the proper use of COLORS, SCENTS, and SOUNDS. Pick one of your child’s favorite, soothing songs. Put it onto a CD by itself. Play it as a loop for the child, and while you do, use candles and essential oils to create a whole atmosphere around the child (also, consider using colored paint on the walls-something so simple that most people overlook it, leaving the child to stare at stark, white walls which inspire feelings of nothing).

You can burn the oils for your child’s astrological sign in either an electric oil burner or a tealight-powered burner, or a potpourri burner (be sure to keep it out of reach of smaller children). Some simple astrological oil blends can be found on my OILS page. Or use blends of these herbs/oils for well-being: fresh peppermint, thyme, chamomile, bay, sandalwood, yarrow, elder, jasmine, orchid, rose, honeysuckle, violet, catnip, peach and lemon.

Colors are light peach, pastel orange, pastel pink, and pastel blue (and I mean LIGHT, pastel colors! Nothing TOO bright, just a hint of color, a few shades is all! Don’t go crazy and overdo it. If painting the walls is not an option, think about getting a white flat sheet and painting a light pastel blue with clouds pattern on it, and hanging it up. You can even get the child to help with this! even if it’s just putting their little hands in fingerpaint and putting their palm prints as accents on the background, but again : LIGHT COLORS!!!).

Lastly, LOVE and CHERISH those children! They didn’t ask to be born, YOU brought them here. They may be an obligation, but they are also a joy and a treasure. DON’T FORGET THIS!!!

IN ‘CHARMED’, PHOEBE SAYS THERE ARE THREE ESSENTIALS IN CALCULATING A SPELL, FEELING, TIMING, AND PHASES OF THE MOON. SHE IS RIGHT! IN THE TIMING, WICCAN DAYS ARE CALCULATED FROM SUNRISE TO THE NEXT SUNRISE. YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN THE SUN RISES WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED WHEN YOU CAST YOUR SPELL. (I usually use http://www.sunrisesunset.com because you can not only custom set your city, but you can view the data for a whole month, and even print out a custom calendar*) .

YOU FIND THIS OUT, YOU DO A CALCULATION BASED ON HOW MANY ACTUAL MINUTES THERE ARE IN THE DAY (SUNRISE TO SUNSET), AND HOW MANY IN THE NIGHT (FROM SUNSET TO THE NEXT SUNRISE). FOR INSTANCE, A SUNRISE TIME OF 6:23 AM AND A SUNSET TIME OF 7:29PM GIVE YOU 13 HOURS AND 6 MINUTES OF DAY HOURS, OR 786 MINUTES. YOU DIVIDE 786 BY 12, AND YOU COME UP WITH A DAY HOUR LENGTH OF 65 MINUTES (do not round up!). SO, STARTING AT 6:23AM YOU ADD 65 MINUTES, AND COME TO 7:28 AS THE START OF YOUR SECOND DAY HOUR. THE LAST HOUR IS YOUR “FLEX” HOUR, WHERE ALL THE REMAINDERS ARE STORED. THIS WILL BE A DIFFERENT LENGTH THAN THE PREVIOUS HOUR LENGTHS, AND THAT IS CORRECT.

FOR NIGHT HOURS, DO THE SAME. 7:29PM IN MY EXAMPLE, TO THE NEXT SUNRISE, WHICH WILL BE WITHIN TWO OR THREE MINUTES OF 6:23AM, THE PLUS OR MINUS DEPENDING ON WHAT TIME OF THE YEAR IT IS. SAY, IT IS 6:25AM. SO, 7:29PM TO 6:25AM GIVE YOU 10 HOURS AND 56 MINUTES, OR 656 MINUTES. DIVIDE BY 12, AND YOUR NIGHT HOURS ARE 54 MINUTES LONG. YOUR SECOND NIGHT HOUR STARTS AT 7:29PM PLUS 55 MINUTES, GIVING YOU 8:24PM. AND SO ON…
